Some rest for the wicked.

Not really active gardening, but close enough…
I got a nice little patch behind the house that only gets mowed once a year, if at all. Every May we see some of the nicest orchids.

@goosehd if it wasn’t for midgets in the summer and the darkness of winter (weeks of rain and gaels)…
The whisky does help, though.
Watching the sky - the light is changing so much in just 10mins…

@Chap just my own brutalist version of a garden gate.
Ornament is Crime!
Making hay while the sun shine - i.e. it’s not raining for a change…

@Aetas said in IH510 - IH * Take5 (HK) collaboration (IH-634S):
A blast from the past @FOXY
What are you doing on the Isle of Eigg?
Got stranded and forgot to leave…plus it’s very nice here (and not very hot)!
@goosehd lovely island and great people.
Lots of funny stories regarding the recent history and the land reform movement in Scotland…
@goosehd Thanks!
(It’s always better when the sun comes out and you hold a beer in your hand, right?)
That’s An Cruachan and Beinn Bhuidhe on the Isle of Eigg.
Easy to get to by boat from Gosport…
@Fadez probably going to do this - they only had the initial soak and hemming in 2010, early 2011.
No proper wash as of yet.

yesterday evening's night cap - Thompson Brothers' SVR5, Batch 5 (8YO Blended, Solera Cask Method, started with Clynelish, Caol Ila, Glen Ord and others)

Apparently, I got the thread name wrong - it's IHT510
Let’s see what this summer up north on the Scottish Islands allows…was thinking about making this pair along with the Loom Breaker my “Go to pairs”. It will be a slow process, probably.
Had been hibernating and maturing for the past 15 years (or so).
Will do detail shots over the WE.
