I picked up this white 10oz denim Sample Riders Jacket and decided to Kakishibu persimmon dye it . This is with 1 day tanning in the sun. I plan on at least 2 more days sunning and then maybe another round of Kakishibu dye .

Get more kakishibu dye than you think you will need and follow mixing directions exactly. Once everything has been dyed you just bottle it back up in airtight containers and store it in a dark , cool place .
Let item hang dry then get it out in the sun as much as possible. Once you see the item getting dark then repeat. I did three cycles on the jacket and am now hanging it in the sun daily as I'm stuck at home recovering from rotator cuff surgery and bicep relocation. I only did two cycles on a pair of white canvas sneakers as a test . The thicker material held more dye and was darker .

This is how it started . Its not too bad , but almost impossible to get a even color . After much research I just decided I'd go for it . It is a bit mottled/ uneven in color but that just makes it look better in my opinion.

Picked up a Sample Riders jacket ( used) in white 10oz denim . Size is large but I wear a 48 in the 21 oz denim Rider and this one is tighter with shorter sleeves but doable . Decided to do a kakishibu persimmon dye to it and think it turned out pretty good .
