I actually sized down one from my UHF. I think that a rider's jacket should be more fitted, especially when the material is "light" like this one at 11oz.
Sizing down could bite you in the butt if you have long arms, though. The shoulder/sleeve combination on this size M gave me a sleeve length just a hair shorter than a size L UHF, which is perfect for me.
Also consider the overall length. If you're very tall, you don't want the bottom of the jacket to be at your belly button
Overall, though, find a P2P that fits you like a IH denim shirt or UHF and the rest SHOULD work out well.

Sure thing! I'm 5'10", 154lbs with a 38" chest. I try to get my UHF P2P to be around 22-22.5", and that's what I went for in this jacket (this one is 22.3").

Keep in mind that the length on a rider's jacket is supposed to be shorter than most. I don't want you to expect a chore coat length and be surprised

Yeah hard to believe ik, I would’ve been all over that new type 2 slubby denim jacket if I didn’t get such a damn good deal on an Oni secret denim type 2 but yeah I think I could get away with either size L for an slim 80’s type of vibe or XL for a more contemporary fit ..

I picked up this white 10oz denim Sample Riders Jacket and decided to Kakishibu persimmon dye it . This is with 1 day tanning in the sun. I plan on at least 2 more days sunning and then maybe another round of Kakishibu dye .
