Yeah i agree with Goosehd here. But only you can judge with the facts/info in front of you. Have a think and go with your gut so to speak. Think about the pros and cons, and whether the risk is worth the reward

What was your measurements of your old comfy 888XHS? How far apart is it to 34.7inches? And then weigh up what others have measured in terms of shrinkage of the waist and just do a bit of maths to see if its too much etc....

I just got my spare size 33 out of storage. It has shrunk down to 33inches after two washes (measured the IH way) from 33.8inches....

@Bobcat-Sig scroll up to see other peoples before and after measurements. I think that might be a good way to judge how much it shrinks in the waist to gauge whether that amount of shrinkage would work for you....i think look at post 600 etc

@AskAxel haha yeah you mentioned the UHR, would you say its similar? Im wearing my UHR and love it, though its starting to heat up here. Cant wait to see more fades....

Dang, i normally go 32.5 as a baseline where its comfy and fitted, i saw one place for a tag 32 its measuring 31.89 (81cm), so...damn. i think i just need to walk away and not take the risk....its hard though haha

@Jeansman how was the waist on this one? I saw a size 32, which is technically my size but it seems to measure small. Do you know if there is much stretch? Im tempted but should have bought size 33 when it was available....so just wondering whether to gamble lol

@Bobcat-Sig just remember to follow the instructions re: soaking and washing. For one of my pairs i had to wash twice and it got all the shrinkage out to look and feel normal....

@Bobcat-Sig what is the measurements currently to your 888XHS? If you are comfy now thats sort of would be a good benchmark to start. And then compare that to 34.7 inches to gauge if you think it will be too big/small....

@dirtyframer how did you go? What do you think?

Got my SJ42BP today. Its super comfy, drapes well and has nice hand feels. Though i must admit my sense of "heavy" is now a bit warped cause i have been wearing my UHR daily. Like the pants feel so light and not heavy/tough at all. Also the sizing is bigger than i was expecting, should have sized down cause there is also some stretch too. Overall its very nice would highly recommend

@samo thanks for the input. The one im thinking of is the SAMURAI JEANS Heavy Back Satin Trousers Olive SJ42BP. I saw them on "earthmarket" so was thinking about buying them. Might go with tag 32....but it sounds like most people like the quality of it...

@AskAxel thanks man! Really appreciate it. Im between sizes for their 32 tag. so wasnt sure whether to go 31.5 or 32.6 etc..... with orslow and other pants they always have a bit of give, so i wasnt sure how much these have etc. So thanks for the feedback!

Hey guys has anyone tried on their heavy chinos before? Just asking about SJ42BP and wondered whether they have much stretch? Or any general feedback on them?

@AskAxel out of interest where did you get the 25oz from shipped to oz?

@dirtyframer i have both....the rise of both are similar and good, both sit well. I like the 555s for top block but its the thighs for me is the difference. So if you have bigger thighs, then i would say go for the 888s. And also i feel as im getting older, having more room in my jeans feels good, i feel the 888 retains the slimish look as it tapers, so its the best of both worlds....

Im waiting for these both too. But yeah given you have the 888sbg, maybe the indigo is the missing one?

@indigo_nico yeah agreed it stretches. Plus i feel washing it in the machine with proper agitation all of the shrinkage comes out uniformally as well, dont feel the need to baby it. Just soak it thoroughly and chuck it in. For one of my pairs i did 55c degrees and it didnt shrink enough. But i found with the washing machine and agitation it got it to where i wanted....
