      Thanks for the initial responses.

      The issue I see with “spot -wetting” is the uneven shades that could result.

      you're right about the water stains, you could do a light rub down of the entire shirt with a wet towel to set the water stain for the full shirt then fully soak the areas the need to be further broken in..

      There is a chance you can ruin the jacket, but there is also the chance you get the exact fit you want from a soak.. My thoughts would be to only wet/soak the areas you want to change.. ie the shoulders or the collar.. then wear it dry and condition after dry if necessary.. i would not soak the entire shirt.. at least to start, and i would not put it in the washing machine. id wear it in the shower.

    • RE: Aero Leathers

      I definitely agree with the above info, but I’ll add the following.

      -If you live in the US a new moderately customized Aero is is about $750.. due to the current dollar to pound exchange rates. It’s a great time to buy new.

      -Aero have a ready to wear section with jackets and leather choices in many styles… definitely check that out.

      ** and there is a Big Buck deerskin shirt in XXL sitting in the buy sell section in mint condition at about half off

      I found the sizing chart they use pretty accurate. the measurements listed had me in an XXL and it fit pretty well.

      Its a cool jacket and well made and all that, but in the end I didnt keep it.

      ^^ its been hit or miss for me, I've had to pay customs on a leather jacket purchased from Aero once but not the second time? I recall it being less than $80 but I guess that is based on the overall price.

      @Kasi:

      You can’t take your clip 7 off now

      that is very true.. its a good reason to keep only what i have… or a better reason to buy more!

      @goosehd, yes, that's how I wore them for a while but i felt they often got hung up on my neck in a weird way, by adding the clip to the chain allows the clip to slide around ( like most other chains and medallions do)
      IDK, seems more balanced to me.

    • RE: GOOD ART HLYWD - A Gallery

      i usually wear the chain inside my shirts and the current set-up sits pretty flat against my chest.. I think the #8 would of been a lot more "chunky".. I never had the chance to try either on before purchase as I bought both online.. I guess I took a chance but it worked out ok in the end..

    • RE: GOOD ART HLYWD - A Gallery

      I had a local jeweler cut my #3 curb chain to allow the clip 7 to slide on the chain and not use the chain clasp.. pretty happy with how it works

      @popvulture:

      I need a good sort of refined/classic messenger. Been hoping to find something I like in leather, but that's turned out tougher than I expected.

      you may have looked already, but if not I can highly recommend Saddleback Leather, I have the "flight bag" which carries my computer, lunch and a few other things quite easily and looks great as it wears and construction is tank like

      apologize for the thread derail…. I have the IHJ 35 riders jacket without collar... and I love it.

      Maybe an Instagram live video on the official IH?

      ^ certainly the size wanted will have an effect on demand.. 30-38 seem like the most in demand usually..
