Slow and steady: vintage cut + vintage fade

@Giles Gosh, that's a beauty
@CosmoSix5 looks like a perfect fit and the color suits you way better than it did me!! Rock on!!
Slowly evolving! My favorite pair of jeans - they just work for me
@thevintagefuture thank you Sir! And they are getting better every day. It’s nice to start off with a new 21oz pair knowing where things are going.
@Jord thanks! Its been 4 years since I got the tattoo of Hubert Auriol winning Dakar on BMW in 1984 and I’m still amazed myself everytime
I look at it
this is a picture taken when still quite fresh but to my surprise it hasn’t changed much at all…

Super happy with the 1955 cut - love the vintage look with the higher waste. Super comfortable top block with the slight taper to the bottom will make for a very versatile pair in my rotation

April 12th marked the official first birthday of my 634-XHS and it was time for a first wash - haven’t worn them for the full 12 months but pretty regularly outside of the summer months in NYC. Love the electric blue!

Maybe this is helpful - I think the body didn't shrink as much as the arms - I like the jacket to sit properly on the waist and def. prefer the post vs. the pre soak fit.

@long_john86 exactly my experience - for a long time nothing happened and then suddenly it started.
I understand these are once washed, however, would you (hot) soak them before the first wear or just get going right out the envelope
I cannot make the Mr Lou fit. Very flat toe box and if sized for appropriate toe box fit, then the heel slip becomes insane. The Lot444 are like Neil from S&S said formed like a sleek race car and wrap around your heel and foot. Way more shape and they fit very very well. I am a 12.5C on a Brannock and wear the Lot444 in 11.5D. (same size in Mr Lou)
Pictures from my recent suit fitting - thought the double angle looks kinda cool
fades are starting to pop - love the electric blue

Just love the 21oz denim - cut wise these 777 now feel quite tight after spending more time in 634.

What’s the difference compared to the Selfedge 23oz collab? Is it a different base denim?
@Daniel-San yes, that‘s an edition made for standard & strange. It’s horsebutt in „crust“ which is basically just natural. They got substantially darker with wear and being exposed to sun. My particular pair is quite smooth but there were other sizes/ pairs with more grain - I guess it’s the nature of horse
One of my favorite pairs of engineers. About a year of occasional wear.

@long_john86 I am one week into my 634 XHS coming from 21oz 777S. Ordered size 36 (which is what I have in the 777). They fit comfortably when I got them. Hot soaked it at 40 degree Celsius (104 degree F). They shrunk minimally in the waist and after a week of wear back to where I got them more or less. In short, the measurement (in the waist) that you read is what you get and what you keep.
My new friend just walked into the door after a short bath - standing strong on his loong 37 inch legs.
@goosehd Fantastic! They are perfect as they are - I can see them become my favorite pair of denim based on my developing love for wider fits.
I also just got a pair of the Blacksign 15oz Vocalion (see images) and these are a great right in the middle between those and my 777S in terms of fit. Not as high rise, not as wide (leg opening on the BS is 10.2) - a great cut to wear with basically anything.
