Received these in the mail today. This is my first lighter weight iron heart bottoms and I’m thoroughly impressed. Coming from the 21oz sbg these feel so smooth. Definitely think the 14oz is underrated and more people should give it a go.

Depends on the vest type. For the IHV-02 work vest style Pit to pit is most important to me since the shoulder are cut small anyway.
For the type 3 and N1 vest both the shoulder and pit to pit measurements are important to me. First I look at the shoulder size. I also don't like a vest to go past where my shoulder rounds over. Im rather small at 5'2" and 130 lbs so the corresponding chest size typically works out for me, but I also wear the type 3s open most of the time. The N1 is cut with more room and has no problem zipping up with a thick hoodie and shoulder size as described above.
Not ready to put it away for the season but it is getting too hot. Gets compliments every time I wear it. Really hoping to see this fabric to make a comeback.

Absolutely still in love with this one. It makes its way onto my back at least three times a week.
Not a fast fader, but it will be around for a very long time.

Now just patiently waiting for a 526SV in SBG

Picked this beautiful 1200 custom off market place for a screaming deal. Always wanted to build a chopper so figured it was a great starting point.

Found a peanut tank on my local classifieds and decided to try my hand at painting it.

Hit it with the airbrush. Some lines aren’t the best, but that’s okay.

Tank installed with a wire tuck as well.

Up next will be extended damper rods, fork extensions, 10.5” rear shocks, and finish making a sissy bar. Far from done but I love the process.
@WhiskeySandwich really glad to hear that’s the exact setup I’ve been looking at. I was thinking +4 as well since I’m only 5’ 2” with about a 30” inseam. Pics soon, as I just finished up my tank.
@WhiskeySandwich I like the stance you have on this. Are those 10.5" shocks in the back? What size fork tubes as well, +4, +6? Im in the middle of a sportster build right now as well.
Little bummed how quickly the xs sold out. However I picked up a small from self edge that should fit well. I’ve been very excited about this one since the unveiling.
Im a big fan of vests so on my list would be:
21oz Denim N-1 vest
21oz SBG Type 3 vest
21oz SBG N-1 Vest and/or Jacket
@northsouthdenimguy please post all you want so I can live through you! Been eyeing a pair in the same leather from the shop Vancouver, so I’m excited to see how these evolve.
Happy to see this one slowly evolving.

Still quite possibly one of my favorite things. Not much evolution yet but I still love it.

So happy the 301 will be made. It’s my favorite cut and hard to come by now. Going to be an instant buy.
Has the N-1 ever been done in 21oz SBG? That would be a dream jacket for me.
Vests have been a staple in my wardrobe for MANY years. Never had one of this quality though. This is an exquisite piece in the 21oz. I love the attention to detail with the taped arm holes and felled seams throughout. Look forward to pitting this one through the wringer.

Got to handle one of these at self edge SF today while on work travel. It’s definitely a beautiful piece and I’m looking forward to seeing some faded ones from those that picked it up.
Picked this beautiful piece up off the forum for $100usd earlier this year. It quickly became my favorite piece of clothing. Although it took me a minute to figure out it was a 99 and not the 293, but the non-oxidized snaps finally clued me in.
Looking forward to many more years of wear on it.

Performing in Iron Hearts always makes me feel like a million bucks.

My trusty Jazz bass that has seen hundreds of gigs and multiple areas of the world.

One of the better parts about being short is having larger remnants after hemming.
After taking some inspiration from this thread I made a 21oz SBG carry all pouch.
