I’m very happy with the Ignition jeans. They are perfect at the waist and top block and slightly snug at the thighs but that is cause I’m used to looser fits. Not uncomfortable at all, just unusual to me.
The fabric is very textured, similar to a kersey but less so. They feel raspy to the touch, quite a bit more so than other IH denim.
I’ve wearing them in the Austin heat and no thermal discomfort there but I am used to that. Not sure northern climes people would agree with me on this.
Clint did mention the visit from you and your brother some time ago. I had a great time with the Deins last night.

These were worn daily throughout the last autumn winter spring. In the beginning of summer as they started going that familiar OD grey I worked on my bike on grass causing some grease and grass stains.
I was curious to see how the fugitive dye would react to a bit of bleach so threw them into the washer on a hot cotton cycle and added some diluted thick bleach. They came out a bit brighter but were still pretty grey at that point and I liked how they looked so did it again with more bleach. That took away almost all of the black fugitive overdye and a lot of indigo too.
Surprisingly there are still a bit of whiskers and creases around the knees, but it isn't perfect and there are some white lines running down the backs of the legs. But the roping on the hem and the tracks are where it really worked super well. I did notice after the first round that washing them unbuttoned produced an unsightly diagonal line between fly and pocket, so buttoned them for the second wash and that fixed things.
I really like how they turned out, and wear them just as much as I did when they were black and grey. It's not the most authentic way to fade, but the process is proof of how much of a beating these jeans can take. They're still soft and still mould to my shape and it still seems like the contrast points will fade more. Overall then it shows how much these can take.

Couldn't find a product page for these shorts, but these are the Callee Military short in olive. Ultra soft, really comfortable cut and perfect length.
All in all a great visit to IHUK, thanks the whole crew for being so welcoming, hope you guys enjoyed the cakes from Southsea Coffee. Heard about some very cool future developments of IH. Most exciting of all, I have to thank @Giles for showing me Iron Heart Spring Summer 2022. Can't reveal any specifics, but I hope it is ok to share that the collection is bold and adventurous. There are shapes and textures I didn't expect and that work so well, and wholly new ideas that I would call joyful. But also there are some pieces that might again challenge the bandwidth of a few retailers' websites as they supersede what we know IH to be great at: classics with an edge. Reinventions of what one imagines to have already understood… At the of the day jeans and some other clothes, apparently.
Nice weather for the ferry back to Southsea too
