This may go in unpopular opinions based on other posters comments but Nike have always worked well for me. Ran in quite a few different brands prior to college, then ran in exclusively Nike in college as the school I ran for was sponsored by them. Nine years later and I'm still loyal to the brand. Like others have sad it does pay to just go to a running store, try a number of shoes on, and go with what feels best regardless of brand.

I have nothing against Nike, personally. They make great shoes and I've owned many pairs over the years. I tend to stick with what works, though, and Mizuno Wave Riders work for me. As a result, I haven't bothered to look at anything else for several years. If I get a couple of uncomfortable versions, I'll start shopping around again.

Nike is one of the few shoe brands i've never tried. I've worn Puma, Adidas and NB. I now exclusively wear NB because they're built like tanks. I know some of you fellas can't stand NB but I like them because of their comfort and because they don't suffer from toe holes. My Pumas and Adidas got toe holes within a year.

It's like they were right there in the fitting room with me!

My criteria for a pair of jeans are:
-
Do they fit around the waist?
-
Is there enough space in my thighs?
-
Are they long enough in the inseam?
It makes life easy.
One more - Does it make my @ss look better?

^all valid questions.

My daughter just stomped into her room and slammed the door because a) I was unsympathetic about her inability to find a toy, b) I told her to clean her room so that she can find said toy, and c) she began to whine and I told her, "when you whine, I walk away."
It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I do something similar. If my son starts crying or making a scene in a public place I tell him to take a deep breath and quiet down or i'll never take him anywhere. That usually works

Having a daughter is fkn awesome. And I can say, because I have one, life would not be better without her.
