Just learned of a new (2012) cotton variety that is a US grown natural hybrid of Sea Island cotton called LUXSIC. This looks very much like it could be the cotton variety that IH uses for denim… Pure speculation on my part of course, however it's: Extra long staple, US grown, not Pima, not GM, owned by a Japanese company, and virtually unknown to commercial cotton companies.... All of these things would point to it as a possible match.

Been pretty absent recently.  New office move, building new photo studio etc etc been keeping me busy.  Have a 3.8km swim for charity on Sunday and have done the square root of f-all training, that'll be interesting.  Tuesday off to Berlin for Selvedge Run, then back here for Fish 'n' Chips…..

Hey guys,

I know I'm not super active here…but that's more a function of me having too many interests and hobbies, and not enough time to do everything I want in each one.

Anyway, in the same vein as Giles's (or would it be Giles'?) swim for charity, there's a fairly big bike ride here in Columbus Ohio in August where the beneficiary is cancer research.

I've committed to raising $1800 and biking 100 miles. My longest ride this year to date is 36 miles, so we'll see how that goes.

I hate coming around with my hand out, but I feel a bit better because it isn't for me, its for cancer research.
