I just picked this up off the outlet.  I’ve already got the IHJ-12 (black) and IHJ-59 (camo) versions but I couldn’t resist another one.  I think this is IH’s most versatile jacket.  It’s water resistant and loose fitting enough to layer with the primaloft vest.

This one has a slight stiffer feel than the 12, which is in turn stiffer than the 68.  It seems like the stiffness is proportional to the water resistance.

I was surprised to discover that the cuffs are actually blue and not black.  Here is a pic of the contrast between the cuffs and collar.

Fortunately, the sleeves have a sateen lining.  The 12 has a fleece lining and some shirts have trouble sliding into its sleeves.

After just a few wears it’s already got a nice blue tint around the opening.

I ended up buying this and the blame lies mostly on @DrPat for bringing to my attention the fact that these were in the Outlet!  I hope your conscience keeps you up tonight! 😃

I was really on the fence about this purchase.  There's a bunch of stuff launching this month, I had already spent a bunch recently, etc.  I dug up all of the old IG posts on this jacket that I could find.  I even scoured Haraki's blog for it.  While windbreakers are so versatile, this thing looks bright, and I usual prefer a more subtle jacket.  That said, I do love the color white, I just don't wear it often because it gets dirty so easily.  So, I was really happy when I found Haraki's post on this piece:

                            http://shin3155.blog54.fc2.com/blog-entry-6530.html

He wrote that he rode with this jacket for 1,750km.  He had it hanging next to a brand new one.  The only difference was this really small black smudge that you can't even see on the zoomed out picture.  He even mentioned something about customers not worrying about it getting dirty.

Now I'm just preparing for my wife's joke's about how I look like the milkman, or that they'll be able to spot my dead body from far away if I die with it on, etc., etc. 😃

                            Blanket-line all the things!!!

I got this jacket sweaty and dirty and had to wash it (30deg, gentle cycle, no spin).  Unfortunately, there are now heavy creases in the body and sleeves.  How should I go about removing them?  Internet recommendations for nylon include the following.  I couldn't find much specific to Cordura.

                              (1) dampen fabric and iron with a towel on top
                              (2) steam (some advise against this)
                              (3) take it to a dry cleaners and have them do it.

I love, love, love this jacket!

Not only does this jacket come in a spectacular color that is sorely missing in my wardrobe, but it cleans up so easily!  As a bearded man, it is almost impossible to drink coffee and not get speckles of it on my shirt/jacket.  Must've happened 3 times today with this jacket.  I just got a diaper wipe and wiped it right off.  Didn't even have to rub the stain or anything.

The whole reason that I don't have a lot of white is because it gets dirty easily.  Then along comes this jacket.  Whiter than white and practically stain-proof!  BRILLIANT!

A few more comments about this jacket.

The sateen sleeves do not breathe and do not allow water vapor to escape.  I wore this jacket on a slightly warm day and the sleeves were completely soaked.  I had to turn it inside out to dry them.  I’ve never had this experience with the 12 (fleece sleeves) or the 59 (sateen sleeves).  I’m not sure if the composition of the sateen is the same for this one and the 59.

As posted above, after a wash the jacket had serious creasing.  I gave up on removing them myself because it was extremely difficult and I was scared to melt the nylon.  I took it to the cleaners and they did it for 5 Euros.

After I got it back from the cleaners I noticed a yellow streak on the jacket.  The guy at the cleaners said this was because I let it drip dry and would go away if I washed it again.  Fortunately, it became unnoticeable after a few wears.

The nylon on this one is stiffer than the 12 and 68, which means the creases don’t go away so easily with wear.  For comparison, the 12 was full of creases after I packed it in my suitcase yesterday.  But they disappeared after a few hours.  That didn’t happen with the white one.

...Once I placed the order for that last jacket and the garment was removed from the outlet completely I can't find a photo of it anywhere! :o 🙂 I'll be sure to take some shots and post them. Definitely an odd piece for I think this to be the only 'camo' version of anything from IH! Glad I spied it! 😉 😎
