Aren'y they?! They're really well designed and well made. Such unique tools and I can't think of another like them anywhere. Great people to deal with as well.

      For some perspective:
The small one is about 7" at it's widest point. The large one is about 19" at it's widest point.

        Thank you so much @seawolf

That is quite a useful link!  I might get them both down the line a bit… It's amazing what we can do with laser cutters these days.  About four years ago I bought a bunch of plexiglass and had a laser cutting company in Santa Fe, NM cut me circles all the way up to 22"!  I asked them to place registration marks every 30' (12 per circle), so they are exactly what I need.

But I also do it the hard way by hand too.  Pardon the long description. To start, I draw lines coming out of a central point (aka a starburst pattern) every 3 degrees, so I have 120 lines of six inches (could be any length, just that they are all the same).  Now is where the geometry comes in.  Starting with one of those lines, I can etch a perfect circle if I connect the end of that line to another 12 lines away (36 degrees).  That will make 12 ten-sided polygons that essentially create a circle from their edges.  If I connect the starting line to another 15 lines away (45 degrees), I can etch a circle by drawing 15 octagons.  20 lines away, and I can etch a circle with 20 hexagons.  24 lines away (72 degrees), I can do it with 24 pentagons, and so forth…Here is what it looks like....

Lots and lots of lines, but the concentration of lines really creates a perfectly circular deeply etched outline which is exactly what I want.

And then the cumulative accumulation begins….Colored pencil on Arches 400lb. CP Watercolor Paper

Thank you [I think I know of a tool that you might find useful. I recently got myself a pair of these and they seem to have unlimited applications for people who use circles in their work. http://windfiredesigns.com/Tools/CircleTool/index.html

Those are cool.  I expect you use them a lot for the ends of straps and corners of, well, pretty much everything?](http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=11338)

@Chris They're so useful. Seemingly limitless options. Pretty much everything!
