You guys have me noticing details in old gear I hadn't before. Addiction rarely breeds education, but if that's what it is…..

My cuff has gotten some indigo on it, any way to get it out? will washing the cuffs, or scrubbing it remove it?

Seuls right, when it starts fading, its a really nice experience!

No worries, ropeadope. As you've probably discovered already, we're a pretty obsessive lot on this forum.

If they are bothering you immensely, you could try to scrub it out with soap and water. As hard as it may sound, though, I would try to look at it as a good thing.

I remember the first time I experienced massive leg twist on a pair of unsanforized jeans. I was trying to twist that shit back every minute or two. It was driving me crazy. Eventually, I just accepted it and it stopped bothering me.

Now I kind of like it. Adds character, as they say. Embrace the evolution, my friend.

I'm still not understanding what the issue is, can you post pic?

I guess he's talking about this problem: if you have worn a pair of jeans and turn them inside out, you will also see the blue wearing marks. Kinda like a negative image. Especially at the combs and whiskers. But this can also be visible at the cuff as the indigo from the warp threads rubs onto the weft.

I might be totally wrong though

Might as well keep speculating on what ropeadope is talking about.  I think Friday and beautiful_FrEaK have got it.  And if he changes the amount of cuff (1.5", 2", etc.) you see the lines of indigo where the cuff was before.  That's my guess…

I've got similar bleed on my cuffs from the bit of snow that's been packed in them. I like others just chalk it up to the denim gaining character. I am likely to wear these until the cuff blows out and then have them hemmed at that length, so the extra character may end up a bracelet, key chain, or whatever.

Rope, I would do as others suggest and let it be. Conversely they have painted my natural moosehide moccs a funky blue, I could stress, or chalk it up to what happens when you buy things intended to show wear. Personally, I think that scars denote personality.

Cuff bleed is not an issue for us max stackers. Just saying…

However, my light gray sneakers have various shades of indigo, so stacking presents it's own issues.

That being said, I think the sneakers look better with a little blue blood. I'll post a pic later if I remember.

And I of course thought just leave it be, but if there was some easy way to clean them, I would..

Seul, yeah exactly SCARS! I can see what Rope is saying if the issue comes trying to switch out cuff style and length, just nothing I worry on. Mine get a extra inch or so consideration for boots, but then just roughly eyeballed and flipped. The only time that cuff gets touched will be to wash and eventually the chop and hem. To each his own though and I am interested to see how you end out Rope.

                                      One cuff
