I don't mean to gatekeep people who like a more roomy pant but the 888 is usually for those who can't fit into anything else LOL.  If I could fit into a 666 or 555, I would be wearing those.

For me certainly, a sized down 888 allows me to have a fit similar to the 555 or 777 which I struggle with due to my Neanderthal genes and having played rugby since I could walk.

That being said, I’m entering the upper end of my 40’s, and having a more relaxed leg has it’s own appeal now, hence the size up on my new pair of 888-XHS. I’ll try and get fit pics p tomorrow.

That is the great thing about this cut… very versatile, very flexible. My W33's 888-XHSib fit me the same way 555's fit @Sam, for example. The waist is trim but not uncomfortable unless I put on weight. These fit perfectly at the waist. Comfortable without being loose. But I could size up, wear with a built and go very relaxed.

I feel like the 888 cut and the XHS denim are a good match. The weight of the denim and the nature of the fit work well together.

…wow! Four pages back on the 'bottoms' forum site! Must be the 'grandpa cut'! :D...hence...

...picking up another cut, the 888-XHS! That'll be my 3rd pair of Iron Hearts, 634XHS, 555XHS and now the 888XHS's.

...just may retire all other jeans in my closet. This should take me down the road quite a ways in the jeans dept.

...I'll be adding to the 'People's Report Card' on these in the near future. Ciao for now.
