The Self-Edge sale is terrifically tempting, 16ss or DC4001?

With the 16ss, SE says its raw and will shrink, IHUK says minimal shrinkage.  The measurements of the (S) at IHUK are exactly what I need post-wash 16.6 Shoulder, 40.2 Chest.

I bought a secondhand 16 in a (S) and it was wickedly tight.  So I have two questions:

1: Is the fabric for the 16ss raw?

2: Were different runs of fabric used to make the 16 and the 16ss?
-on the 16: "They have been pre-rinsed so there will be a little shrinkage, but very max of half a size."-Giles.

from a functional point of view, what purpose does a leather front/back yoke serve on jackets/vests?

thewickett for sh!ts & giggles i will put my madmonday logic to your question.  hopeful someone with real world experience & a knowledge of history will give a "proper" reply.

the leather front/back yoke serves as reinforcement and makes the item stronger in that region.

again totally based on madmonday logic so you know  😞

yeah, that was my thoughts as well. Just wasn't sure if there was a more specific reasoning. Either way, madmonday logic is more than welcome.

Also I believe it's cheaper and probably easier to make a jacket with yokes (easier, ie to get buy whatever big enough pieces of uniform leather to make the backpiece.)  Just guessing here

I would assume attention is currently on the relaunch of TW, but also interested.

Once you use the search function and "so many topics come up", the word you searched is highlighted each time. You have to click on the link and read a bit to figure it out, but it can be done.

Just to shed some light regarding the brand FreeBee

                                      From what I remember..

It's under the umbrella of Works INC where IronHearts and Triple Works fall in as well.
Mr.G was planning to get it running again after a short run of products. He was shooting for, as Jaco stated, a label exclusive to Cut and Sewn products.Since IH is built for more rugged wear (Heavy Flannels 21-18oz denim) and TW would a bit more fashionable and light (14.5 oz denim, more variety of flannels) and FreeBee would just be sweaters, hoodies etc.

Hope that helps and feel free to clarify if I misinformed.

                                      I'm as ugly as you

These are only a little over a month old!! The stitching in the button hole came tOtally loose now the top button gets stuck between the stitching and the hole. My question is can how do I fix this? Can a normal trailer fix this or is it a special job? I really don't wanna send these far away for this ,but on the other hand I can't believe this happened after only 1 month and don't want it to start frying really badand the hole get way bigger
