@Filthy: Next I am thinking about drilling into the inside sole with a fine drill bit and injecting a small about of boot oil in there. @zhivago @motojobobo this actually worked. I wore them all day lots of walking, and no squeaking.

Genius Sir! Seeing a potential side gig here for you man!!

Well done @Filthy ! Not surprised…your idea sounded solid from the beginning and execution was likely spot on. You ought to post it in places like styleforum or reddit where these boots get a lot of traffic. There is value in your hack as I’ve read about many Wesco/Viberg/Whites owners complaining about sole squeak and either sending them back or selling them.

@Giles did you ever get that kayak? just upgraded from my 2014 outback to a 2017 pro angler.

I'm looking for a large, waterproof, and hard-core durable back pack. Anyone have any suggestions? My Timbuktu bag is over 10 years old and is still serviceable but I feel like I am ready for something else.

@Filthy – I'm all about the offerings from either Ortlieb (I have the Packman Pro 2) or Mission Workshop (I had the Rambler at one time).

Ooh, this sounds like a question for @Anesthetist, @Graeme, or @Cutlasshound…

I knew you guys would have something awesome to suggest

Ooh, this sounds like a question for @Anesthetist, @Graeme, or @Cutlasshound… No offense to Luke and Giles. But I am hoping they have something to suggest that looks less like something from the movie Cliffhanger.
These could possibly work… but I am looking for something that is not a roll top and can fit under an airline seat (even if it sticks out a bunch).

Look at the Attrack…... Wow that's a good one…

But Cliffhanger is cool af dude! Don't you wanna look like Sly, @Filthy?? Still gonna steer you towards Mission Workshop. Plenty of non-rolltop options and v well made.

Look at the Attrack…... This one G?
This is my current bag. Fresh out of the washer and dryer…

@Filthy: I'm looking for a large, waterproof, and hard-core durable back pack. Anyone have any suggestions? My Timbuktu bag is over 10 years old and is still serviceable but I feel like I am ready for something else. Question, does it have to be waterproof (i.e. is it likely to be submerged)? If so, will have a think. If memory serves aome of the bags from Finisterre got some positive feedback. If not. The Mystery Ranch packs with the Futura yoke harness are without a shadow of a doubt the moat comfortable packs I have ever used. Also, the functionality of the tri-zip is awesome. Appreciate the military aesthetic of some of them may not be for everyone though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

[emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] Its amazing I’m not still a virgin to be honest…. Are you implying expertise in a very specific subject area is not conducive to romance? That simply can't be true.
