Get him a pair of nudies. Haha, slim kims all the way. Lol

The main question here is does she know her size???
-
@simon626:
he's like 5'3" and like…97 pounds.
always been a small kid haha
Jeez, that's tiny. That's the size of my ex-GF (the ballet dancer, Bikram Yoga one from Singapore). Even as a woman she is tiny but for a man I'm not sure if I've ever seen that. Sure he is a great chap otherwise.
For the female friend, tell her to wait till SELA opens. Then take her there. Help her try out stuff. You might get upgraded from the "friend" position, if you want that.

in all honesty, if the girl has experience with how to size her jeans, its really not worth it to try and figure it out over the internet. I mean, jeans for guys is WAYYYY different than jeans for women. Women wont like certain things in the cut and feel of a jean that cant be seen over the internet. it really is just much better to take her to your local Barneys Co-Op in so-cal and have her try on jeans there. Its just a safer play Simon…

I second that. Much safer and much more fun. You want her first raw experience to be pleasing.
Who cares if she already has a boyfriend…?
(Just kidding on that.)

hahaha alright then, i'll suggest it to her. If anything, she can try on some jeans in store, i'll measure them, and then she can buy a similar pair online if need be.
Thanks guys for the info (:
On a jeans for a woman what is super important for the fit is the hip curve. Unfortunately, that curve can hardly be translated into separate measurements that are easily reproducible. I have also never seen that measurement given, probably for exactly that reason. You can have waist size, thigh width, front and back rise but still have no clue about the outer hip line and that's just about the most important fit point for a woman. If she is very slim and doesn't have a pronounced hip or derriere, you can go with men's jeans and men's measurements.
-
@simon626:
she's quite slim, not much hip flare….
and her derriere is comparable to mine...except smaller and on a girl frame...
She's definitely not one of those child bearing hips girls.
OK, then there is a good chance with measuring. Still, on a very petite derriere stuff like the pocket position and the thigh diameter right below crotch level are super important. Internet jeans buying for women is just not a good idea unless you are adventurous or really know what looks how on you. The young lady needs an expert and you can generously offer your advice and opinion (and compliments).

So where will the keys hang? On the outside of the pants? I did that with a carabiner when I was 12 (25 years ago). It was hip then and the noise didn't bother me. I also didn't have a lot of keys. Is it in again now?
For the sake of decency and safety I would not have my keys dangling around in the open. Maybe I'm overly cautious. Are the lanyards long enough that the lanyard will follow the key into a front pocket?
