Great question.  i never justify anything i do.  unfortunately for me, i walk to the beat of my own nutty drummer.  not as insightful or elequent as many of the above answers, but it is what it is

my wife knows, and she gets it, though I'm still struggling to get her to join the party. (not easy now cause she's in the middle of a pregnancy; I'll pick up the battle again in a few months)
