How do y'all justify the big prices we all spent on our clothes(IH-Gear),boots and other stuff when the gf,wife,parents and/or friends wanna know WTF we have to buy such expensive stuff???

I've always found justifying money spent to others to be a waste of time.  It's not their business.

my old dad used to be proud that he still had his 'Sunday Suit' - in his day the men usually had one good suit, probably bespoke, that was used for weddings, funerals, formal occasions and every Sunday if you were a church-goer - it was meant to last them a good many years

i remember asking him how much it cost, and he said (proudly) about a month's wage . . . so if you prorate that you can buy yourself plenty IH
