@tody. It looks like a nice 634 fit. If you are coming from slimmer cuts I can see how the 634 feels a little off-putting to you. I had the same initial reaction when I got my first one. And then it gradually grew on me to the extend that its only cut i currently have with the exception of the 463. Is the waist nice and snug? If no maybe you could of handled a size down. I cannot tell from the pictures.

@dwils my go-to cut is the 666, with the 777 as a strong contender
@yannis waist is snug, but not too tight. size 36. i'm on a weight loss journey, so size 35 may be within reach, but I feel I'm not there yet. the no-stretch whipcord pants I have in 38 are starting to feel a little loose. interestingly, that work pant cut feels right at home, with the intention of looking a little baggy. i think what throws me off a little with the 634 is the rather snug top block combined with the fairly wide legs, especially the lower legs. i'm a rower, so my leg proportions are off a little - muscular thighs, but skinny lower legs...
@Denimhead-0 you should give it a try. i believe you are a little taller than me, and with maybe a slimmer waist than me, the proportions could feel right at home.

@tody I think they look spot on mate. Coming from 555 and 777 and owning my first 634 XHSib since january now everything else feels skinny and restricting. More like the 634 is the default fit for my bodytype and all others are either baggy or slim.

Got these last May. Been the main pants I've been wearing outside of work (company supplies work pants that sees poison oak very frequently, and gets washed very frequently). Occasionally worn at work when I know I'll be in an area without poison oak.
Initially gave them a warm soak and wash before wear. Did a hot soak/ light hand wash due to some wet ashy sludge from my Weber splashing all over them below the knees a couple months ago. Think they are getting close to their first machine wash.

In a couple weeks these will be a year old. Been my go to this last year. Don't wear it often to work unless I know for sure I won't be diving through poison oak for the day. One light hand wash/soak, one machine wash, besides initial soak/wash

@wjw It's crazy I've had mine for a year too (since last release) time flys!
I'm hoping to get more wear on them come autumn/winter...

@Jord thank you! Yeah go to pair from last release. Luckily I'm not too limited in wearing in the summer living on the coast of far northern California. But field work in ticks and poison oak hamper my wear days. My wife probably thinks I'm crazy when I get out of my field work jeans to often change into my XHS haha.
Also, the XHS journey has been weirdly awesome. For the first 6 months or so it felt like, "damn I am wearing a jacket on my legs" and very little evo. To one day the highlights of the blues start poking through and all of the sudden they are at that "sweat pants" level comfy you hear about before delving into the XHS journey. I remember thinking after months, when does this comfy stage come, it still feels like a jacket on my legs? Then one day, boom, super comfy. I now know what every experienced XHS fan was talking about.
