Has everyone ordered the same size as their shirts?
If so, can you fit an UHF underneath?
I’d like to layer but moving up a size throws some numbers out of whack.

I wear XXL UHFs and have an XL jacket. I can wear it over a UHF but can't really zip it up with any degree of comfort, plus extra snug through the sleeves anyway. The jacket is fairly fitted and not really something I would wear over a UHF - plenty of other options if I want to layer as such.

However I think there are others for whom this layering works well, just not for me.

Can anyone in a size small chime in? I want to pull the trigger but I’m afraid the shoulder and sleeve numbers add up too long for me.
Also, is everyone able to fully zip the sleeves or is the thickness of the gusset obtrusive?

i can fully zip the sleeves when wearing over a tee or hoodie(even over heavy hoodie).
I have problem to fully zip the sleeves over a Ultra heavy flannel, but mainly because of oversized rivets on the sleeves.
          (I am wearing XL)

That’s a beauty. I’ve been eyeballing the SE version without the side gussets for awhile [emoji848]

This jacket is the one that got away from me. Excellent fit on the jacket, @Bfd70

@gaseousclay my $0.02 go with the IH version. I was considering SE as well because i thought it looked cleaner and i wouldn’t use the side gussets. However, on delivery i’ve found this is a trim jacket when sized correctly. The side gussets allow enough adjustment so it is comfortable zipped with a tshirt and unzipped with an UHF. Completely functional. Also, since they are set pretty far back you can’t actually see them when worn.

Here is a run down I did of the jacket on another forum:

                        https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/iron-heart-ihj-54.100890/#post-2684099

If you’re into the whole brevity thing a synopsis:

The leather is gorgeous and smells great. Buttery soft with huge grain potential.
The workmanship is what you’ve come to expect from IH. Top notch.
The fit is trim. If you carry weight around the middle and want to zip this jacket up either 1. Buy the IH version so you can adjust the side gussets or 2. consider sizing up.
Also, i was concerned the sleeves would be long but they are not.

Really too warm for a jacket, but it’s new amd it is raining out so let’s get this party started!

Thanks all. Took it out to swat some bugs today. First time with it on the bike. Side gussets prevent any ballooning whatsoever .

We have a brand, unworn with tags size XXXL here that has one side panel that is in a slightly lighter weight hide that the reciprocal panel.  It is 100% fine and would not have left Four Speed had they thought it an issue.  It is though, noticeable to the touch, if not the eye.  USD1250 - save yourself USD500 and high-five anything with a pulse.

Do you know,  what is the weight of this jacket ? Is it 2.5oz ? Or heavier ? I know aero cxl starts at 3oz.
Also , what is the leather thickness in mm?

I own aero cxl horsehide so I kind a know what to expect here but need little more information on the leather for sizing purposes.

                                          Thanks
