@Bobcat-Sig Chris is awesome!!! Definitely give him a ring/email and try and explain what’s going on. He’ll try and get you in the right direction and hope to see you wearing a pair of Wesco’s that you love.

It will be very worth it in the end when everything clicks.

      Good luck!

Fwiw I also didn't have good luck with custom fit sheet. They just couldn't get a low enough instep volume to work in combination with the length and toe height I need with my foot. After one rebuild they very politely apologized and thanked me for everything and issued a refund.

It's so confusing because a bone stock set of 9D is so close other than the toes. Thankfully I still have those and they fit ok but I'd really love to find a better fitting brand for me.

@pechelman Interesting. There may be some limitations with patterning, lasts, and soles. Though I’m no shoemaker, that was brought during the build I mentioned a few posts up. Maybe in your particular boot or chosen leather, the measurements just don’t work?

Bummer it didn’t work for you, but super cool for Wesco to make things right with a refund.

For me, and what frustrates me about engineer style boots is that I can find several brands of cowboy boots that fit me, requiring no custom builds. Both style of boots are similar with their shape. Granted, there are differences in construction, but nearly all cowboy boots won’t crush my high instep like some engineers do. And Cowboys tend to break in and allow for plenty of walking with lots of comfort. My Wesco Engineers will blister my heels in short order.

I think it's as you said, custom only can get so custom within the limits of what they can do with existing lasts and adding shims. Basically, I needed a lower volume 9D last with a 9.5D length and built up toes. Unfortunately, I could shake both pairs off my feet. Oh well.

@pechelman This is exactly my experience with Wesco. Lovely boots but my feet are the wrong shape for them.

Proud to present my first pair of WESCO Boots. (Actually my first pair of Engineer Boots overall)

Went with 9E, similar to my Iron Rangers. Never noticed how different my feet must be formed since the right boot gives me a really hard time. But the struggle is it worth it, the boots just feel and look absolutely epic. And I'm confident they will be super comfortable after breaking in.

                  Quick question

Are the Mr lous sold at Franklin and Poe here(https://franklinandpoe.com/collections/wesco/products/wesco-boots-mister-lou-horween-black-horsehide-green-supergrip-sole?variant=48189293953270) the same as the same as the ones sold at bakers here l(https://bakershoe.com/products/stock-wesco-mister-lou-black-7600bk?variant=39909978374225)besides the obvious different colored hardware and the sole?

Also, is there any differences in the soles besides the color ? Thanks

Same boot, same leather, but looks like a different sole - probably worth getting in touch with them directly to confirm.

                      Thank you in advance

We have all models of Wesco boots that have low stock online on order, but the lead times from Wesco are a little unpredictable, I am afraid.
