…looking forward to a restock in size 40

I’d get ‘em hemmed to about two inches longer than my inseam to allow for shrinkage and stacking, but with no need for cuffs. Stack fades look great on these (see @filthy’s pics above)

Trust me, you can’t. No one can. IH is a black hole. Escape is impossible.  😃

Cheers! They work with kicks but are a bit long with engineers. I’m thinking about taking them to G’port for a hem…

I hemmed mine 1.5" longer than my 888s and I'm pretty pleased with the look.

No dilemma! Get some 25oz on your legs. There is nothing wrong with the 14oz, it’s great in fact. But XHS is next level denim for enthusiasts. Of course, you should score the 14oz a short while later, if only for the experience of contrast [emoji1]

I agree with Reuben.  I'm contemplating picking up a second pair because they're just so great.  Tough but soft, blue but black.  Don't miss out on these!

Yup, always go for the limited runs first. I think it's going to be the last batch of the XHSib denim (unless the decision is being made to make them extant). The 14 oz is going to be in continuous production (and is also great, just on a lighter level).

They do look way better. I got my 555 version of these jeans tapered by a tailor as well, came out great. He had to use the machine he sews leather on to do it.

I agree. I prefer 8” LO on mine and since I size for thighs on all pants I end up tapering and taking the waist in on most.

almost 3 weeks wearing these on and off.  fits me like a glove after the taper and hem.  honey comb fades starting to appear already.  i wish the rise was an inch shorter, but not bothered by it.

i can't wait for the XHS in this cut.

Have you had an stretch in the waist past the pre soak measurements! I’m in between sizes and really need about 35in on the waist and the 36 I’m almost positive I won’t be happy with. I took the 888sOD in 35 fit well.

Have you had an stretch in the waist past the pre soak measurements?

That might be at the outer limits of what you can expect but doable. The XHS won’t stretch as readily as the 21oz but you’ll get an at least inch from post soak. Bare in mind that these don’t shrink the whole inch in the waist. More like half an inch.

Edit: my advice would be to measure the waist of your 888S-OD as they are now, the same way IHUK measure, then work it out from there.
