    @Crit_Obs:

    The shrink-test specimen looks like it didn't take too kindly to machine-washing. 😶 Why might that be, in this particular case?

    The fabric is unwashed and only lightly sanforised so shrinkage was expected. The advice with this is to treat as raw.

      Yes but I was alluding to some pretty evident marbling in the post-wash photos.

        I am not sure that a machine wash is needed for this sort of jacket. Machine washing is of course more likely to cause this sort of marking, and we have to try to maximise shrinkage to give you the top end of the shrinkage spectrum without boiling the clothing.

                  I can tell by the fabric feeling and materials this will be high contrast fade jacket . I think will fade quickly too

                    Gonna try to wear it as much as possible to soften it up. The double indigo is quite stiff even after the wash. Wearing it at work today

                      It starts out that way but will soften beautifully. The 25oz is borderline legendary for its transformation but the SII denim does the same.

                        @Mustafa911, how'd it go? I was thinking about doing the same thing with mine. For now, I just rolled up the sleeves. I was worried that it might produce two different colors.

                          @wlemon waiting on dry process !!
                          I don’t mind if I loose some color on sleeves . Double indigo is so dark it won’t make a difference . I don’t see much indigo leak in the tub

                            I soaked mine in the tub for 30 mins at roughly 40 degrees. While the water turned considerably blue, the jacket pretty much looked the same after drying. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

                              Also, i think i can probably get more shrinkage out of it. May try again once it starts needing another soak

                                Hot soak method didn’t shrink much. I will not bother soaking the jacket . Maybe wash will help but I don’t want the wash . I will cuff button like this . I can tell this will be a fast fading jacket

                                    @Mustafa911 That's what I thought would happen if I soaked it. Since the measurements are perfect everywhere else for me, I'll just fold up the sleeves for now. Thank you for sharing your process, though.

                                      Thanks guys for sharing your fit pics… great jacket. The sleeve length was the reason why I didn't order this one. Really hoping the sleeves on the IHJ-71 won't be that long..

                                        The only thing I didn’t like about this  jacket is extra long sleeves !!  You really have to have very very long hands to fit 28” + length.
