The (Less intimidating) Watch Thread

@Twistlock saw this one on a video a while ago. Pretty cool watch!

What would recommend to a friend who likes the look of a Rolex Explorer 36 or Tudor BB 36 and has never spent more than £250 on a watch so far (G Shock GW5000U)?
-
You could try one of the Seiko watches: https://www.seikowatches.com/ca-en/watchfinder?casesize=Solar&size=310_389mm

@m4xime Hamilton Khaki or Traska Summiteer for me. There's lots options in that category though.
-
@hjl360 Yeah the Hamilton Khaki x Engineered Garments was one I was looking at potentially. Not heard of Traska so will check it out.
I'm not that keen on a Chinese homage as I feel I wouldn't connect to that.

It's just a budget citizen eco drive but I love the look of it. Wearing it non stop right now. The strap is natural cxl roughout and I love how it picks up indigo from my 295ib.

Great watch!

New superthin Garmin. Battery size not optimal but at least comfortable enough to wear 24/7 and unlike my old Epix not destroying IH shirts with sharp edges...

-
@derek111 i know this is old, it picked up where i last looked at the thread, but turtles are the GOAT. especially on a nato. wish i could find that gilt model, i'd have two!
-
@WhiskeySandwich It has been perfect for me so far. Actually on the hunt for another nato strap if you have any suggestions??
-
@derek111 I really like the Blushark natos. I have way more than I care to admit. the Orca is my fave, a nicely textured basic one but they have fancier ones too.
EDIT: i wanted to add that I always cut the second strap off of my Natos as soon as i get em. I like the true singlepass without the keeper. I place the case in the middle and treat it like a regular strap, with the added safety in case a springbar lets go. Once a nato is broken in, the creases wont let the case slide off anyway, so i can do away with the extra thickness beneath my caseback. If you do it, be sure to singe the fray after you snip it.
