I like the looks of chucks but man they just kill my feet.. ive read that purcells are much more comfortable but i just cant seem to get into them. I've also read that the john varvatos chucks are way more comfortable too but they're pricey and ive read not much better quality, so.. not sure if that price is justifiable or not?

I think the Varavatos suck. Purcell has the nicer sole - more rubber or foam or whatever…

I'm wearing purcells right now and wore chucks yesterday. No doubts here, purcells are wayyyy more comfortable. Though not everyone likes the capped toe.

I'm checkin out some JV Converse to see if theyre any more comfortable than standard chucks… and they are. Not by a large margin, but they definitely are. I ordered a few diff pairs on zappos and am considering keeping one/some. Can't make up my mind which ones...

I like the JV Star Players... but the low and mid tops are different from each other in that the mid tops don't have the black ring around the shoes on top whereas the low does. Wtf?

In chucks if i do wear them i usually wear the hi tops because i like the way they help dry denim fall, esp when its more stiff… but i dont like that they don't have that ring around the top. I didnt think it would even really matter until i put both pairs on my feet to compare. (OCD? ha)

On the flip side i do like the color combo of the low tops ... charcoal w red detailing and red waxed laces.

Do you guys wear low chucks w jeans at all or just shorts? I usually see people with lows wear shorts... i know prob a weird question
