@AdamJ Thanks for letting me know about the 526J-142ib; I may jump on one of those, but I admittedly had my heart set on a smaller 526LOD as it seems like it will survive the apocalypse. I can "make" mine work, but it looks a bit strange on me, especially in the shoulders and sleeves.
Any estimate as to when the 526J-142ib model restock will be arriving?

@Northman Just so happens I'm wearing it right now! Yes. Unrecognisably soft/pliable compared to how it started. Though it's definitely still decidedly hefty/substantial of course, as that's just the nature of the fabric.
I still remember the first few months were particularly uncomfortable in the armpits where four bloody layers of fabric all combine in a little square. That, for instance, is utterly unbothersome now. And has been for ages.

Well. Yesterday with a heavy heart I had to sell mine. XXXL was just a little too snug. I tried and tried but deep down I always knew I would wear it a lot more if I had SP-Large. Couldn't help it. It has been said multiple times in this thread already but word of advice again for all. Lefty is not to be messed with. Get the sizing right! Too tight aint right!
Will get a bigger one next time this comes around. Or the SBG or the DD. Whichever type 3 shows up first.

Well judging by the water it definitely needed washed. Ewww. 30 minutes soaking, hand agitated as it broke my stick
One agitated rinse and now it's hanging up to dry.

After my son failed to take a pic of me holding the jacket we changed roles. Proud he was able to hold that jacket up 100% soaked!

90% dry. Not much change. Slightly tighter cuffs? That's weird. This is definitely my favorite IH jacket. I still remember clicking buy it now on eBay like a maniac
