I think we’re gonna roll with the single cuff.
I love how this is starting to drape around my legs.

@Davids_denim damn makin in look good, need to wear mine more!
-
@october-rust oh man that fade is motivating! just got my pair in the mail and can't wait to wear them.
-
Man I just gotta say these are remarkably comfortable for 18oz. Feels much lighter in weight too.

How much stretch are you guys getting in the waist, measured flat, after washing and wearing them for a while?
My ideal waist measurement is exactly 45.5 cm (18") once the jeans are fully stretched out, using Iron Heart’s measuring method.
I’m guessing size 33 would be ideal after stretching? But I do like some roominess through the rest of the fit, so I’m really torn between the two..

@EastClintwood I think you've messed up your measurements somewhere, a 18" (36) is 91.44
Most Iron Heart denim will stretch about an inch with wear, then shrink a little and stretch back out after a wash
-
@Jord I meant 18” measured flat, so about 36” (91.4 cm) total circumference. Sorry for the confusion.
And thanks for the info on the stretch.

Hi all, I know I am not the first on this topic, but I cannot really find an answer to this so far.
This model still has 34" stock. I wear 34" across most of my jeans (denham, gstar, levi's etc), but when I do the measurements as instructed I measure 46 cm / 92 cm which would result in 36". I imagine this is the stretch everybody is talking about. So am I save ordering 34", or is IH better ordered one inch bigger than the other brands?
Thx.

@Rickyuu measurements and tag sizes do not always align, but measurements are king. The stretch happens after you start wearing the jeans if the waist is under strain, so is not included in the published measurements.
To compare like with like you can compare measurements of a recently washed pair of your jeans that fits you well with the published IH measurements. You could also measure jeans you’ve been wearing a while to get a feel for where the waist ends up after stretching. Depending on the denim you might get up to 1 inch of stretch but not much more.
If in doubt email/message the IH team. They know the product better than anyone and can help you find the right size.

Thank you for doing the measuring.
The reason your tag size 34 measure 36, is a combination of vanity tagging and stretch. I can’t tell you how much of each, as I don’t know the denims. But if you want to end up with actual waist size of 36, you need to start with an actual waist of 35 in this jean
