@jpvisual I don't wear it much anymore but I did wear it a lot. It's not like a cardboard box but it is no means soft. This V1 though, when we did the world tour with over dyed V2 that felt really soft compared to this.

Few pics update on this amazing type 3. Love everything about this jacket. It's so dark and inky like it's been indigo dipped 100 times. Also I've never experienced such dry and rigid crispy denim. I frequently wonder at how they even managed to construct the damn thing, must've broke many a needle!

No, because shrinkage is not an exact science. The shrinkage that one person/washing regime achieves, does not accurately reflect what someone else will get. So the best we can do is publish "expected" shrinkage.

The guess work is something that a lot of people expect and like about buying raw denim, if it is not something you are comfortable with, then don't buy a raw product. We understand that is a concern for many people which is why most of our products are sanforised and/or one-washed to reduce the amount of guesswork needed.

That said, I notice that the link on the product page for shrinkage guidelines was missing, we have corrected that..

How was this jacket when you first got it? Was it really rigid etc? I only have one type 3 and it's from a different brand, I'm kind of scared to put the time in to break it in but would love to get it all flimsy and get that "Second skin" feel when wearing it

@Jord maybe consider the 21oz type iii if you're worried about this one taking a long time to break in?

The denim will be soft/maliable from the go and start to drape beautiful and mold to your body shape within a few weeks.

@Giles thanks. Yeah, not really into guessing on a $500 jacket and shrinking it too much, but if it's done right the fit looks second to none. I absolutely love the look of this type 3. Best overall fitting one I've seen on people. I dig the slightly slimmer sleeves. I was considering the OD version since the guess work is taken out and it's the same fit. I'm just personally into classic indigo or straight up black denim, not OD. Thanks though. I might just have to take my chances on this one.

You can get a good idea of what the 526L will be size-wise after soaking/washing by looking at the same tag size in the 526Lod, they are the exact same jackets, all we have done with the Lod is overdye the L version.
