Just out of the wash after a soak. It shrank up nicely. At least .5” going by feel.

Sorry for the multiple posts. First time uploading a picture. The jacket is still a bit damp and wrinkled from the wash but couldn’t wait to post this. I really think it’s a great fit.

@den1mhead, it's actually my son in the pic, but thanks.  I think he wears it well. Together maybe we can break it in faster.  It's still quite stiff.

                    Looking for some sizing advice…

I have the IH-526Lod in Large and the fit is just about perfect. Shoulders about 18.5" straight across the front (forgot IH method was different), Chest ~21.6", Waist ~19.3", Opening ~19.2", Sleeve ~25.5"

The sleeves could be a touch longer but that's about it. If I got a Large in this jacket could I shrink it to around the Lod measurements, or would a Medium be better? Afraid the M would be too snug even if it never touched water though. Thanks!

The two jackets are same dimensions when we make them.  The ones that get overdyed shrink a lot in the OD process.  You could get the same shrinkage on the indigo one of you to give it severe grief in the wash.  If you are more gentle with the wash you'll get less shrinkage…..,

Awesome, thank you. Wasn't sure if the OD ones were identical before the process. Looks like a Large and a trip through the wash!

Picked one up from Self Edge. Had a small issue but they went so far above and beyond to take care of me that I feel bad for even mentioning anything. Just had to give a shout out that they are awesome.

After being sorted I gave it a warm wash and it came out stiff as hell and about a half size larger than my OD version, which is perfect. This is pretty much the only Type III I will ever need.

@Vickt I agree, I also think this is the only type III I'll need until it falls apart. I've had mine about a year and it's had 2 washes. Fades are starting, denim softened a little, and indigo still quite dark with contrast lighter blue fades. Beautiful jacket. Super cute little one too!

Your fit is spot on.  I'm surprised the length on the sleeve isn't overly long on you because i's pretty long on mine.  I've been trying my best to tame this jacket, but it's one tough SOB
