The standard Wesco black, brown and red leather is thick, heavy and oil tanned. It is very water resistent, tough and doesn't take a shine.

The domain leathers (black tie, brown and burgundy) are a little lighter (but still heavy by all other standards) and dressier. They will shine up beautifully.

I need some opinions

I ordered a pair of custom boss boots through baker.

I chose double midsole and the brown halfsole. will this look too thick? I'm considering changing it to single midsole. anyone have a double midsole with the brown halfsoles on a pair of boss engineer boots? please share photos if you can

Ha! Opinions are like belly buttons - everybody has one! I'm not a fan of double midsoles for myself - but I'm also 6'7" :).  Here are my Boss with single midsole, Vibram 100.  Hell, you really can't go wrong!

Like Bluegrass says it's aesthetic opinion. I love double mids and wouldn't have Wesco's without them. The 705's are some of the thinnest vibrams available and I think they look great with double mid's. That precise combo is also a part of my next build.

My heel is the standard curved boss heel, 1 lift lower.  I am a curved heel freak  - I much prefer it to a block heel.  But I would not get the 1 lift lower heel if I had a do-over - there's not enough difference to pay for imo - my burlap rough outs have the standard heel and I prefer it.  I'd rather pay for extra long instep straps!

F**k, I'm 6'7", what's an extra fraction of an inch gonna do??  Make me look tall??
