I'd prefered an extra inch or so in the waist, but the fabric feels quite stretchy and the button is easily moved a tiny bit. I think they'll work out. The rise and thighs have enough room.

I just know the 23 oz serge shorts, which are a total different kind of beast. I love the feel and washed out look of these shorts a lot, that's all I can contribute.

Looking at the shorts, you'd have to reduce the pocket size if someone wanted them shortened. Is that right?

I got my shorts but they're too snug to be comfortable.  My tagged 36 714s are about 3 inches too loose in the waist. Falling off me…  These  a tagged 34 are  about a half inch too snug. My overalls  are a tagged 36 and  have about 4 inches of room near the waist.  Oh well.
