5’-11”, 170 lbs. 34 w, 42 chest. Scorpio! Lol. I am 42 in TFH, xxl in IH.

Btw…… here is a new American brand call wearWarren I like as well. I think their color patterns are more professional looking and are able to be worn at work and don’t always look like you’re working in the woods. Also, the build quality is just as good as all the brands we’ve been talking about.

@SKT that’s a fantastic fit. I need to try these out, I’ve always have been curious about them.
-
@SKT Perfect looking fit! Congratulations

. I’ll report back after it’s had its first wash
Any chance you've washed it and made a note on if it shrank?
I snagged one in Tokyo and it's due for a wash but wanting to double check before I proceed. The sales guy there was emphatic I shouldn't put this in the dryer and that is lose an inch in length no matter what I did.
-
@pechelman I have cold washed and drip dried it at around 5 wears in but unfortunately didn’t keep notes of the before/after measurements. I sized mine quite loose and have not really noticed a difference in fit since it’s wash. Maybe a tiny bit in length, so I guess if you wash it at 40 and use a dryer you might get a bit of shrinkage?
-
@pechelman no problem, sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Hell of a shirt though isn’t it? I keep eyeing the flat head flannel westerns but still can’t get over the cross eyed pocket snaps
and the measurements on the flannel workshirts seem well off to what I’m used to with IH. -
It's a great tee, the fabric has such a nice weight and texture. I was also really impressed by the long sleeve heavy version, reminded me of what might happen if the IH 14oz hoodie and 11oz tee were blended. It was pretty tempting but don't really have a need for something like that.

just washed and machine dried (gasp!) mine
didnt take precise before and after measurements, but maybe lost an inch in length (exactly what I wanted and was expecting) and maybe at most ~.25" in width that im sure will stretch back with wear.Dunno if there's a buco thread that this should go in instead?
-
@DeeDee85 I nearly pulled the trigger on a western flannel this season, but couldn’t get past the body length. Unfortunately just too long for my taste. Love everything else about them.
-
@pechelman thank you very much for the info, good to know that going forward!
@Brandrea the same thing that’s put me off.. I’m only 5’10 but quite broad shouldered so would be a 46 in the flat head flannels. My IH shirts are fairly long and most of the flat head flannels measure at least an inch or two longer, I just don’t think it will work. I’m going to try and get to Rivet & Hide over the Xmas hols and try some on so I’ll take some pics and let you know how long they seem when wearing? Pretty sure we are a similar size aren’t we

-
@DeeDee85 Thanks in advance and I hope it works out for you!

I wear size large in iron heart large western UHFs. I feel like that puts me between a 40 and 42 in the block check flannel work shirts. What direction would you go?
