My native check work shirt actually measures a tad under 27" which is awesome…I have a short torso as well. I would have way more iron heart shirts if they weren't ridiculously long on me 😞

I'd have more Iron Heart shirts if they didn't drape over me in the back. I have the wabash western and a short sleeve IH shirt that both just have weird sized arm holes for me and leave too much material in the back. I love the shirts, but the profiles aren't as flattering as the Flat Head's for me.

I know what you mean! I loved my wabash workshirt but it was a tent from the back, which is why I have the wabash from flat head on its way 🙂

I am the other way around.  Love to get/wear FH, but sizing and fit are a bit off for me.  Looking good sirxlaughs.  A rant from me, not liking the label FH is using on their shirts.

TFH is one of my favorites but sizing can be a challenge. It is well documented here how large the shoulders are relative to the slender trunk on many of their cuts. I had to get a 44 for the diamond and dots and shrink it down and the sleeves are still too long, and the torso is very close (perfect shoulders though). But man their stuff is so brilliant.

              Think it, be it.

The shoulders are perfect for my build, but it's a wee bit tight as it tapers.  Not my favorite fit, but I really like the one western flannel that I own.

Apparently their shirts are based on a 40's cut or something and have dropped shoulders. They're not supposed to be bang on like iron heart/sugar cane etc because people didn't used to wear their shirts like that. Same with dry bones.

McLain, so you got some shrinkage? How was it in comparison to shoulders/sleeves and body/length?

I got some shrinkage, it took a pretty intense wash and dry. I would need to measure and compare to ACCURATE 44 measurements to really answer more precisely, happy to do so if you know of accurate stock measurements.

The reason I went 44, by the way, was because my 42 previous generation TFH is too tight and the measurements looked like something a hot wash could take care of for me.

That makes sense.  I've yet to find anything Dry Bones that fits.  Which is too bad because their stuff kicks ass.

It really does. I have a green flannel from then that's probably my most worn and favorite shirt….  But it fits super weird. Very large shoulders and wide but very short sleeve that has a tight opening. Still love it though!

And I got a 40 in the wabash which fit very well in the torso but a tad large in the shoulders and sleeve. Ill see how it fits but I think a hot wash and perhaps moving the buttons so the cuff is tighter, along with some wear, will yield a great fit. Just couldn't resist that fabric anymore!

Thanks! The label? Do you mean the piece on the left front pocket? If so, I don't understand Flat Head's reasoning for this either. I've only seen it on shirts made by their other brands like Glory Park and Black Mint. Shirts that are branded from Flat Head don't have any labels on the outside (that I've seen).

I've seen it on a sawtooth denim Western shirt, a little TFH logo in that cursive script. Generally they don't do it.

As much as I love representing IH, I must admit I prefer no labels on my clothes.

I'm with you on labels. I wish IH would offer some flannels and plaids without it. (Not going to stop me obvi)

Won't happen. Can't do some with and some without.  It is possible though to remove the labels, you just need sharp blade and patience….

That's interesting.  My houndstooth flannel has the label, but my Glory Park Acid trip shirt doesn't.  I don't mind the label.  Like IH it's almost too small to even read.  Just my opinion though.

I have 6 FH workshirts and 5 of them have shrunk further with a 40C wash, despite all of them being 'one-wash'. This includes a wabash workshirt from 2011. The 6th has not been washed yet although I expect similar results.
