IHSH-129 - Indigo Check Heavy Selvedge Flannel Western Shirt - Blue & Green
This 10oz fabric is woven on a shuttle loom in a tiny house-mill. The result is a beautiful fabric, but it does have a lot of skew.
We made the shirts and then had to remake them to make them look more symmetrical, we did that by removing the pockets, reshaping them and reapplying them. So the pockets are actually different shapes and are placed in different positions. This has been done to deceive the eye and make them appear symmetrical. When worn, you'd be hard pushed to notice, but if you are particular about these sort of things, please do not buy this shirt.

I am not sure if this is the place to ask. At what point do you look at the shirt and say to its maker "take them back and remake them again until you got them right"? I remembered the turquoise/grey block check fiasco and Haraki-san had to recall all the shirts back. Does it have to do with where the shirts are being sold (IHUK/Intl exclusive vs. Japan)?

I could not see a flaw on my 101 TG, but I'd figure that if the construction / durabitlity is affected they'd deninitely recall them. In this case it's just the optics and as you know what you're getting before you order you must decide wether you can live with it or not.

I'm in the same boat… Here's to hoping that the ease in which I convinced my wife I needed the 102TG was not a fluke haha
Random question... but since this is "heavy" and not "UHF" are they still brushed or are they more like the texture of the IHSH-38, meaning a more year round fabric. Thanks!

XL, normally an XL. Fits perfect. Only thing I notice is the sleeves are maybe .25-.5" shorter than my 64 or 92, but still fits beautifully.
The spring book is just a multi fold piece with what they already have on their JP site. I threw it out already ha.

@FurattoHeddo Negligible IMO, something you only notice when you're looking for it hanging on a hanger.
Really not noticeable with the pattern and when worn.
