      @SLAB:

      anyone know if these are also available at RMC Japan?

      @SLAB, I purchased my pairs from RMC Tokyo in 2013. I was told then that there was limited availability and they would not be reproduced…

      I'll be checking out the RMC store again when back in Tokyo this May.

        quick heads up the actual archival reissue 1965 PF flyers sneakers are not associated with RMC in any way. this run seems to be a superdenim exclusive. Was a misunderstanding somewhere when they were announced.

        The sneakers are made in Japan by PF resp their owners New Balance.

        Cheers,
        David

                      Was excited to wear my Real McCoy flannel shirt today. This had become too large in the body due to weight loss so I had 2 darts added to the rear which worked out really well.

                        Might grab a pair as they seem pretty nice, although I haven't found much outside product shots

                          Looks like an effective solution Barcley , great save on that shirt  @den1mhead …....
                          You might have actually solved a persistent problem for me: I have a similar issue with some of my shirts (too wide an opening) but am not familair with "darts".... What are those? (It's not very clear on the pic)... and would you think a regular tailor would be able to do a good jo at it or is it something more specialized?
                          Thanks for any tips you can provide!

                            @zatenm, see pics below.
                            First collage is of shirt inside out where darts can easily be seen.
                            Second collage has arrows indicating where darts start and end.
                            I reckon this type of work is pretty standard stuff for a tailor. Darts can be added to the front, back, front and back together with the result being a closer fitting shirt. Result  🙂

                              Not sure it will work for my purpose though.. I only have the lower waist and opening to tighten.. but a really great tip to have! I can see this working really well on workshirts - maybe one day I'll go for it 😉

                                I reckon if you were to ask the tailor to start the darting just above the lower waist and run it from that point down to the opening and have two darts front and back you would achieve a satisfactory result. Possible worth exploring? Cheers

                                    @zatenm  As I tend to have the same issue I was more than interested when I saw how @Haddtoo 555 had slimmed down his shirt(s) nicely. I went to a tailor the other day with my 85 and he also did those darts, but closely and hardly visible along the sideseams from the armpit downwards. I'm very happy with it plus it's completely reversible in case you don't like it.

                                    Having tried it successfully my 107 and the 62 blk are to follow. Especially when there's a pattern involved I would set those darts next to the side seam but that's just me.

                                          My RMC Buco J-100 arrived today, it's awesome, but it turns out that the current line-up still has two black options - black (code 030, tea-core) and deep black (code 031, black/black).  I'd read that they were only doing deep black now, and the store thought so too, so that's what I was expecting, but when it arrived it is tea-core.  I'm not sold on the rapidity or severity of the patina that the tea-core develops, so hopefully an exchange is happening.  I'll take some pics once I know what's happening, I don't want to mark / crease this one if it's going back.  As everyone mentions, the arms are narrower than most other jackets out there, but I just fit into them, and I'm thinking they'll mold/stretch a little with time and wear.

                                          The navy is pretty cool too, and I was tempted by it, but I'm not sure how it ages.  If it got darker that would be pretty great, but I'm yet to see a picture of one that's been broken in a bit.
