Got a call from Kyle about my incoming competition boots today (already at 10 weeks and counting from order confirmation, was 6-8 week lead time when I ordered) seems they can't do a 430 mini-lug sole, regular trim with an E width… so close trim it is!  Kyle was super friendly and helpful as usual...

...but at this point I just want the boots... sigh

I guess the good news is that they're at the point where they're getting ready to sew on the soles.  Almost done, right?

I sweated the fit issue, with all the time and money invested - I did the tracings and hoped for the best - and fortunately it turned out great… wearing them now - best fitting boots I've ever owned.  Good luck, it should be a matter of days one would think.

Damn. Ten weeks already? I just ordered mine two weeks ago and am chomping at the bit already. I have a long way to go.

Soooo got ANOTHER call from Kyle today… they couldn't do a 430 sole on an E even with a close trim!  You would think in the history of White's somebody else would have ordered an E with a 430 but ooook.

So switching it up to a 700 sole... and will now continue to wait... again....

Man that really sucks and makes no sense. Like you said, this had to of happened at some point before. I mean it's not like you have a size 17 or something crazy right?

That makes no sense at all.  I ordered a pair in 10.5D, regular trim, swing last, (which is really wide at the front half of the foot) with the mini-lug sole.  They made it with no problem.

I think something else is going on here.

I thought I noticed awhile back that (Jamie?) a.k.a. EastWest carried a lot of stock in E width on the EastWest website - I wonder if he has had any issues getting different soles?
