So it is, apologies for not spotting that. The make up of using two single "thinner" leathers is a relatively recent thing from Whites I think, my older boots definitely had only a single piece leather midsole.

For instance on my current SD's in comparison to my current Bounty Hunters.

def. is something to keep in mind for future boot purchases...even though the stitching on the natty cxl part isn´t that accurate. but that´s bitching on the highest level

Doesn't bother me in the least bit. These are boots not dress shoes and I am not a fashionista. You guys need to get grounded.
