So I'm planning a pair of Smoke Jumpers but I think the Vibram 100 sole may be a bit much for me. I do quite a bit of walking but it's all on pavement. Vibram 430?

430 or 700.  700 is more suitable for urban use, the 430 is good for the occasional off-road excursion.  I have 700 on mine now and like it, might get the 430 next time around though

That becomes the challenge! I strongly urge you to make White's your priority though. They're quite special.
