C'mon, the Belgians can't even decide on place names, let alone which language they speak. For example, Brussels is called either Brussel or Bruxelles, then you get streets that are called either Rue du Midi or Zuidstraat. :o

I don't know if they started brewing beer as a coping mechanism for dealing with this, or it's a result of their beer consumption. There's probably a feedback loop there.

Incidentally, the Rue du Midi is pretty awesome. It's got La Maison du Miel, which is a great honey shop, and PCH, which is a good place to buy a Leica.

No she thought the name "Willy Wanker" would limit my job possibilities to what you do: giving out handjobs at the railway station toilets for a fiver.

It's a mini Nintendo. It has mini cables.  Seems logical to me.

You should set it up in a smaller room, so you get the correct proportions.

I was down in Birmingham yesterday for the motorcycle show there, and travelled by train.

Everything went fine until I reached Preston on the return leg. I was meant to catch a connection just after 8 pm, but it turned out to be cancelled. Apparently there was a staff shortage, but I never found out the exact details.

The next train was due just before 9 pm, so I had an hour to wait. That would have been fine, except the service turned up about an hour late. No explanation was ever given, and about half the time the board displayed an ETA (which got pushed out further every few minutes), and otherwise it just said "Delayed".

I think that it was about 11 pm by the time I got in. I'd left at 7:30 am, so it was a very, very long day.

You have no idea. For awhile, we were getting a ton of posts asking "OMG! I got my jeans wet, did I ruin them?!?" and "should I get special hangers for my jeans?" and my personal favorite "how do i treat the leather patch so it doesn't explode into a shower of sparks and a cloud of smoke?" (ok, that last one was embellished, but only a little)

On the flip side of things, at one point someone got puked on and they refused to wash their jeans.

One of my favorite posts is from Mega, when he pointed out that people get raw denim to reflect their lifestyle yet they insist on having the hygiene of a turn of the century miner to get kewl fadez.

I've become very cynical after being a moderator for so many years.

I know violence is not the answer, I got it wrong on purpose
