I wasn't too impressed by The Force Awakens:

There were plot holes you could fly a Star Destroyer through.

It was never entirely clear what the political situation was, nor what the First Order wanted.

It felt too beholden to the original trilogy. Though the prequels were much maligned, they at least tried to be their own thing.
I'm curious to see what Rian Johnson does in Episode VIII, as Looper was an interesting film. Of course it'll turn out that Finn is actually a younger Lando and Mace Windu, and who's been experiencing the Star Wars saga in reverse order.

for me, i did not like them restarting the whole star wars franchise again. did not bother at all.

What do you mean, the prequels? I'm personally sort of disappointed to have to forget everything from the expanded universe novels and comics that I loved in middle school/high school. All of the post-return of the Jedi timeline is getting replaced. I still like the newest movie, but I'm enough of a dork to have a hard time erasing the old continuity and stories

@sabergirl what i meant was, i like how return of the jedi "ended", them defeating the dark side and so on, goodness was restored. like it was a good happy ending to a movie, especially since i watched it when i was a kid, the end. so didn't really look forward to this.

The Force Awakens was awful . Stop reading if your going to watch it .
Too fast pacing ( rushing from action sequence to action sequence ) , characters your cared little for , new bad villain a whiny teenager with father issues , another planet destroying sphere ! Barely any new ideas or plot directions at all . Disney is all about how much cash can be sucked from the younger and older generation .
Not to mention the toy / merchandise tie in products . Four billion dollars
was a bargain for them to buy the whole franchise rights .I watched a streamed copy of TFA for forks sake too .
More interested in seeing this. :

no doubt. i reckon depends on what you're really buying. went out today and still managed to get some stuff i wanted (ps4, dyson v6 handheld vacuum and karcher pressure washer) all for a good price.

F*** you, Ups! Not only does the delivery guy shows up at home, instead of dropping the blue bag at the access point, so that my wife knows, that there is a blue bag, no, he also refused to hand it over, because he needs to drop it at the access point.
