Here is my favorite of my three pairs. Custom ordered almost two years ago I think. Finn posted them a couple of pages back when they were new.
They are tan cxl with Cape buffalo on the Munson last.

damn those are some nice boots @fre-co, thanks for sharing as this thread is pretty empty. Russell make some amazing footwear & as far as my experience goes comfy out the gate. What's your experience with your 3 pairs @fre-co

Thanks guys. I agree Russell make fantastic boots and the comfort level is something else compared to work boots. Even after break in, whites, wesco's can't compare to these for all day comfort. This is my only pair on the Munson last and my only custom order. It took a long time to get the tracings just right and Russell did a great job of ensuring any issues were sorted before they started building.

I also have a pair of Laramie sporting clay chukkas and some triple vamp bird shooters in black that I got from their ebay store.

Hi Fre-co,
I have probably inquired before on sufu but what is your recommendation for sizing RM?
It seems I have missed out three times now on the restocks of the whiskey cxl RM's from Context. They have some great makeups. Yours seem to have darkened quite a bit? they look great

I have a bunch of Russell's…I wear a 12c in Russell, 12 in Alden Barrie, 12.5-13 in White's and 12.5 in Wecso.
Russell's are the bomb! Just take forever to get.

Munson last fits a bit larger….I got an 11.5C in that but the heel was too small.

Hi slab, I wear the same in rm as whites, wesco, and I think Alden. They are roomier than both whites and wesco though.
The Munson definitely fits bigger, you could go down a half I'd say.

Here are my most worn pair. I got them for a song from EBAY many moons ago & have just been rocking out with them. Normally I would purchase at least an 8 but the 7.5 stretched & molded to my fit perfectly.

A few snaps cause I'm into that sort of thing:

resole is gonna be maybe the summer of 2015. thinking of going with a crepe sole with a heel.  Will see

Engineer boots= comfy
Engineer moccasins + zippers must = extra comfy.

I got these same shoes in a US9. I'm a UK9/US10 in pretty much everything (bar 2 pairs of Visvim boots) and though these started tight they ended up perfect. The US9.5 would be good for a uk 9.5 I reckon.

Russell is the best…I have several pair of Huron Thula Thula moccasins....just the best for summer. They take forever to get...but worth the wait. Nothing comes close.
