I'd rather have looser sleeves than too tight, but that's clearly very subjective and based on each individual's body shape - either way, it's a cracking looking shirt and I hope the final version works for all of us [emoji3]

A great looking shirt, length of sleeves seems OK.

Gotta chime in on sleeves here. I agree that many IH short sleeved shirts have disproportionately large sleeves.  I have fairly muscular arms, and feel that the sleeves still look silly loose.  More an issue of width than length.

Yep. Most important thing for me when it comes to a s/s shirt. But I bet it'll be perfect after said intended tweaking…  🙂

            @Max:

Great shirt! What can ou tell us about the fabric - doesn't look like 10 oz, rather like the TW chambray?

As I said, it is a deadstock selvedge chambray that H found.  It is def not 10oz, perhaps about 6 or 7oz

And in "Any other news", I was blown away yesterday.

H showed me a new denim he is working on with (perhaps) his favourite house mill.  This utilises a weft made from the same pulp as paper money.  The weft is amazingly strong and very thin, this results in a very dark face and a denim that is really thin for it's weight…..

Look at the colour of the face, virtually no weft showing...

And the thinness of the weft:

Compared with comparative cotton weft…(OK, crap focus, but you get the idea)

Edit.  We know of no one else doing this in Japan

                    ???

Edit: Cool. Money = 75% cotton and 25% linen. Sounds like a winner G$.

Fantastic stuff G.  It's innovations like these with the denim that keeps IH so fresh.

What weight denim is he thinking of making?

Loving the potential on this one, btw.

We'll use the warp from the 18oz and the new weft.  So we reckon it'll weigh in at not too different from 18, but feel more like 15 - 16

That sounds fantastic.  That 15-19 oz range is, for me at least, the perfect weight for denim.  And the darker, the better.

Sounds interesting! This in the 633 cut would be a certain purchase for me. Other cuts: maybe as well.

Well, we probably shouldn't get ahead of ourselves; it's a long road between test batches of fabric and full production. 😉  That said, I believe the 633 is a Self Edge exclusive model, so I'd rather see this in a more broadly available fit, like the 634 or the 666.
