As it's  a "Snow Day", time to give these beauties some exposure.

I spec'ed these with the new 92 denim which is a 14oz RHT gold selvage. This is the 02 cut which is based on a Levis 60's cut but with 01 (40's) detailing. Custom pocket bags, half lined back pockets and waist band label.

I asked Rio & Hiro to send me some samples of their favourite denims, they ended up sending me 10, thats about 20% of the denim available. After some extensive testing (which actually made it in to there blog), I settled on No. 92 as being the best. The detailing on these is something to behold.

I'll post some fit pics when I get around to soaking these.

Great pair! Maybe I should also consider one of the OOEs after I had them in the world tour.
How would you desribe that #92 denim? With what denim would you compare it?

Great pair. I almost had bought an 1702XX if it hadn't become the 634 S-B. But you must be rather short, the 32" inseam is measured pre-soak in OOE's, right?

Out of the samples sent, No. 92 seemed to have the tightest weave + plenty of character and a nice shade of blue. Also my fade tests showed some nice evo.

Right, it really is a worry, I decided I did not want to cuff these as I normally do and. I asked R&H to cut for a 35" waist & 30" inseam post soak. It would seem to me that these will be too loose around the waist and too short in the leg post soak. I'm just hoping that those guys know as much as I give the credit for. Will report post soak!

^ Wow, that fading test is really something else!

You can always stretch about one inch more length when the jeans are wet after soaking (step on the hem one at a time and puuuuull).

Update: According to R&H these will shrink about 2" in both directions so the 37 x 32 will shrink to 35 x 30 which is what I asked for.  :-\

Yeah, Ryo and Hiro adviced me also to get a 35" waist, I'm a real 33".  But I'd be really worried, and this is what made me hesitate to get the OOE (and the IH instead), that the inseam stretches back to its pre-wash size. So good luck!

I broke out my Ooe's today, I needed a rest from my 634SR, seen here on a walk today with my family (Mother in shot, Wife, Son and Father out of shot).

Ryo & Hiro really know what they're talking about, these have shrunk up to 35 X 30 just as I asked, the fit is spot on perfect.
