From what you wrote I’d say it was the washing machine. I’ve never had problems with the 21oz denim. Not even at high temps and spin. The only time I’ve had marbling is with the 25oz XHS, but that was because I washed it too hard (too much spin) and didn’t soak the jeans first. The result was creases, abrasion lined and marbling. I just wore the crap out of them and they look good now. But now I also soak all my denim before washing just in case. I use a European front loader and the general understanding is that they are more gentle.

For sure. They are not «ruined» at all and will keep getting better.

No problem  I'm looking at the pics again on my desktop machine (I was on my telephone earlier) and they really do look fine. Defo not ruined in any way.

@babtron In fact I prefer marbling over that overly perfect look of Jeans that have never been properly washed. So I think it adds to your Jeans, not vice versa.
