I like'em - nice score!  Any time you can get $6-800+ boots on the cheap, that is all Aces in my world.

The Vibergs are causing me some severe heel rub pain, I've been reading about wearing 2 pairs of socks, wearing them for just a little each day etc… Anyone have any tips for this, it's caused by the slightest of heel slip, but enough to cause a skin to be worn off.

Hi Gav maybe you try with an insole to adjust the fit a bit til they are broken in and reduce heel slip a bit

            Cheers,
            David

Thanks David, I'll try that. The boots fit well generally, just this annoying issue.

@megatron1505 my boondockers on the 2045 did the same thing. It will continue for roughly 5-7 days. It will then go away.

Mine hurt for a good couple of weeks. Now they're beyond comfy. Always have a back-up pair of sneakers and try not to walk too long enough in them to get an open wound/ blister.

I had the same problem with my IH-VB bot boots: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5366.120

Now they´re ok,… I think.  A tank could hit those heels, and your heels would stil be intact.
Maybe I should have got half a size bigger.
Strangely it was only my right foot, my left gave me no problems.

fwiw, there should be some heel slip in engineer boots. That's part of how they fit. I think once they conform to your gait, it shouldn't bother you anymore, but it'll always be present imo.

Yeah, stick with them Gav. My short shifts are the most comfortable boots I own. I had heel slip for a while also. It went away after they molded to my foot/ankle.

Thanks guys, I'm going to follow the stick with them advice and wear double socks in the mean time to reduce chafing.

Give em time as soon as they break in, they will mold nicely to your feet. Comfy Insoles helped me personally in my VMC annis in the beginning to get used to a "new" walking style, now dont need em insoles any longer

                                            Cheers,
