Shit happened! I got front ended, the sucker stopped, I stopped about 1½ meters behind him. After about 30 sek. or so reverse lights went on, he dropped the clucth and hit the pedal. Down I went... the car didn't move properly so he decided to give it a bit more gas and I got pushed about 2 meters or so under my bike on asphalt. Then he probably heard me shouting like raped ape and stopped and came to see what's going on. Luckily there was eyewitnesses who called ambo and cops. This was a bit over 3 weeks ago leg still swollen and the cut is still open. (I was wearing my Mr. Lous, which are almost intact) I'm lucky I didn't brake any bones in my leg when my bike dropped on my foot, and that me and the bike were between the tires, si that car didn't climb on my bike. Then it would've hurt really... So folks, wear proper shoes, thick jeans/leathers, leather jacket, gloves, and helmet (I hit my head when I went down, but I realized that only later when checking my gear for damage)

@injunjack Sorry to hear about your encounter with the car. I hope you and the bike have a speedy recovery!

Often life gets too busy and you just need a minute to appreciate how good life is. Took a nice morning ride up one of our many canyons to just breathe and take a moment to appreciate how good life can be.

@BenBWH Your gloves look similar to mine. They are branded Triumph, but have seen them with different labels. They are about 4.5 years old and have treated me well. As for bike pants, it’s hard to beat a pair of IH 822. The double layer of 21oz denim on the front cut the wind and offer plenty of protection. Check them out … -
Hey John! These are the ones I picked up. I’ve also just picked up some Kevlar jeans with armour too, got them off a friend. I think one day I may grab some of the armoured underlayers and wear regular clothes on top but for now I’m gonna go with the safety stuff! I’m hella clumsy!

No IH in the pics but just passed the CBT today meaning I’m safe to train for the next part of the direct access test next week!
Excited is an understatement, and I can see why you motorcycle folks feel the way you do about this! Pictured the poor little 125cc Honda that dragged me about today! 650cc next week! -
