@Sam Congrats on the new bike. Being an old Harley guy,my bones joints could never handle a riding position like that. I'm sure it sails through the corners. Also if your girlfriend tells you that she's comfortable on that seat, she's a keeper. As far as helmets go I'm a big fan of the Nolan modular helmets. Got to see how good one works in an accident 5 years ago. Saved my head and face big time.

Thanks, @Jett129 I think you'd be comfortable on it though! Just got to get on it first. I even struggle to climb aboard sometimes. Haha yes, the girlfriend may be a keeper… although she's just quit smoking so one false move and I'm in the doghouse.  😛
I'll check out that helmet... tried and crash tested and you've lived to tell the tale, can't think of a better advert than that.

Great bike, I've got the XRX, first thing to do is get rid of the OE screen, I've got a Madstad which is great [emoji106]

Can you add some photos @Nomad I don't hate the screen i just hate what it does to the helmet… but i think a different helmet will fix that issue.

By all means try a new helmet but the OE screen is famous for being shite, have a nosey around the tiger 800 forum. The Madstad made a massive difference, I also tried the triumph touring screen but that didn't work for me.

I put some good miles on it this weekend. Looking forward to taking on the rest of England soon!
Got any rides planned this summer?

I'm grounded for another month or so. Just had ankle surgery. [emoji1304]

The local Ferrari and Maserati dealer often has bikes on display from the owner's collection. Here are a couple that were in there yesterday.

Ducati MH900e. This was my favourite of the two.

                  Ducati Paul Smart.

Great looking bikes @Graeme but the tail ends on both are a little off putting IMO. Does he ever ride them? They look pristine!

Sorry to hear about your ankle @summ3rhays but I'm guessing it's a good think in the long run?

@Sam I don't know if he rides them. They look a bit clean to have been out on the road much. @summ3rhays (get well soon) said that his Sport Classic was painful to ride, and the Paul Smart is essentially the full-fat version of that bike.

Actually, there's a rear plastic mudguard on the Paul Smart, which would have been there for the Aussie Design Rules, and probably pulled off by a new owner in the first five minutes. So I'm guessing it's a display piece.

Thanks @Graeme & @Sam.  It will be good in the long run. It's been over 40*C since surgery so hopefully the extreme heat passes and then I'll be back on the bike.  Probably 6 more weeks until I can ride.

The local Indian dealer has a couple of custom Scouts for sale. They've got a bunch of Rizoma parts and some interesting paint jobs.

The first is a Café Racer. It's got rearsets, whereas the standard bike has forward controls.

And the second is a very Evel Knievel Wall of Death machine!

The bikes use Rizoma Club indicators, which are one of the options I was considering for the Thruxton. @summ3rhays has them on his BMW.

They're good looking lights, and have CE certification, which means that they're also street legal. Although I'm waiting for Rizoma to bring out the Leggera.

Killer bikes.  It's interesting that they switched sides for the exhaust on the BMW.  With both the exhaust and single swingarm on on side, I bet the other side looks super clean.

There's an article, in the recent Harley owners magazine,on The Race of Gentleman, and in it they profiled the riders and builders from their team. One of the more colorful riders, who I had seen in a lot of other photographs,is Atsushi "Sushi" Yasui who is originally from Tokyo. I googled him and,lo and behold, found this image of him riding on a beach ,somewhere, with an Iron Heart banner in the background. Also sent it to G.
