Hey y’all,
Got an update with a progress photo from Unsung today. I’m thinking they should be back to me this time next week. Very happy with the the way these are looking so far.
Communication had been excellent. Every detail in question is asked of me via an email from Unsung with clear descriptions of my options and a clarifying picture.
To bring everyone back up to speed, these began their life as a simple pair of White’s Hathorn Fire boots. Unlined, 12” shaft.
I asked to have them cut down, rewelted with a brown, double stitched flat welt, jade Dr Sole half sole and heel, single leather midsole and natural waxed edges.

He’s had so many better ideas than my original vision. Yet he hasn’t strayed far at all… Ya know, the sort of “je ne sais quoi ” that a master cobbler brings to the table. I’m so pumped about the continuous comms. -

Found a pair of boots I used to wear around 25 years ago , maybe even 30.
back in those days we get them pimped with extra thick leathersoles .
