First day in the 1955s. Pretty stoked on the fit. I sized down from the last pair of 1955 slubs I had, then eventually let go. So far the waist has stretched out perfectly.

I’m curious why the 1955 cut is not utilized more and with different fabrics. I admit I’m biased because they are the only IH cut that gives me enough room in the thighs and for the family jewels (6’1” 215lbs. athletic build). For anyone of similar build, I believe it’s the best fit and overall jean you can find.

With such high demand, why not increase and diversify your supply?

@bonzo40 we are, its been discussed a few times on here already. You'll also note that it is now part of the core cuts on the new webiste, a header in the shop menu, etc etc etc

Some of us do not like the higher rise. I am 6 foot 240 pounds athletic build also, and I like the 634 better. The combination of high rise and the bigger taper from knee to hem is not my thing. Different strokes for different folks.

Thanks for the replies! I am going to research the 634 a bit more I just thought the reduced rise would be an issue but maybe if I wear them lower or find the right measurements it would work. I do agree about the bottom taper as I wish the 1955 tapered just a bit more. You might have just changed my view on the 634 much appreciated.

What about the 888 does not work for you

You misunderstood me. The 634 tapers Less from knee to hem and that is something that I like. If you like more taper @Alex guide you to the 888 that does exactly that. 6 foot 1 and 215 pounds i don't see why you couldn't have a nice fit on an 888 .

No problem buddy. The 888 is a modern cut aiming at people with bigger thighs. Just make sure the measurement at the knee agrees with you. The 888 tapers from mid thigh to knee and the 1955 is not, so the knee measurement of the 888 will be smaller than the 1955. If you are ok there you will enjoy them as they look smarter.

I too hope we see a heavyweight 1955. This is my best cut. I hope the recent sell out provides some impetus. I need no more jeans likely ever (rotation + age = IH is in my will, not just my closet). But a UHR/XHS...oh yeah.
